|The luminescent theatre is of Czechoslovak invention. It was invented by architect František Tvrdek (1920 – 2009). The theatre has existed already for over fifty years (its first experimental performances were held in 1958) and it has reaped much success in other countries. Special luminiscent paints are used for the puppets and the settings and they are highlighted by invisible ultraviolet light. This technique can be used in theatre and also in television. For many years, František. Tvrdek has worked as the head of the company "Tvrdek Ultraviolet Show". This permanent exhibition displays examples of his work.
