HÄRTSFELDBAHN-MUSEUM

The museum tells the story of the ancient private narrow gauge railway of
the Haertsfeld (= Hard Field).
In the 1st story of the ancient station building you will find a lot of
memorabilies as there are pictures, modells, furnitures, uniforms, tickets, tools and a small modell railway for the children.
A railway stock collection of over 20 original pieces is free visible.
The old track has been rebuild for nearly 3 kilometers.
Trains in service 2015: May: 1., 3., 14., 24., 25., June: 4., 7., 28., July: 5., August: 2., 8., 9., September: 6., 13., Oktober: 3., 4.
There are three main events each year:
-> the day of open doors on Ascension (may, 14.)
-> the Sit-in (Bahnhofshocketse) on the second weekend in august (8./9.)
-> the opening of Dischingen Station (september, 13.)
