MUSEUM GOTTFRIED-SILBERMANN, MASTER ORGAN-BUILDER OF THE GERMAN BAROQUE
Gottfried Silbermann was one of Germany’s most famous organ-builders, and a close friend of J.S. Bach. His distinctive instruments are all gathered in Saxony. The Museum is located in the heart of “Silbermann Territory” and provides a detailed introduction to his life and work. Frauenstein is set in magnificent mountain scenery south of Freiberg (with 3 Silbermann organs) and southwest of Dresden.
