GENERAL ADAM STEPHEN HOUSE

18th-century limestone house restored as a memorial to the founder of the town of Martinsburg, West Virginia, Revolutionary War General Adam Stephen. The house has a Georgian floor plan and is furnished with antiques from the period of 1750 to 1830. Next door is the Triple Brick Museum, built as housing for railroad workers in the mid-1870s, which now houses artifacts and local history items and exhibits.
