Northampton County Museum Inc. is a private not for profit museum located in Jackson, North Carolina. We serve Northampton County North Carolina. A small museum, we have hands on activities for children that assist them in learning about the natural resources and history of our county. Our ever changing exhibits include; The Northampton Room, Notable Northamptonian, Community Closeup, and Collector's Corner. On permanent display are freeze dried native animals, reptiles and birds, American Indian atifacts including projectile points and pottery, a chronological walk-through of our county's history, and various weapons and other artifacts from local and national wars.
