HEDDON MUSEUM

Open in 1995 in the office area (3000 sq.ft.) of the James Heddon's Sons factory, 414 West St., in Dowagiac Michigan. We show one of every cataloged lure and reel. Have over 150 Rods on display. Show information about James Heddon and his sons Will & Charles and Charles'son John; What they did for Dowagiac, James's bee keeping and all aspects of the tackle company. We show many experimental and prototype lures, tell the story of many lures and have a great memorabelia display. Other highlights are the Heddon Aviation Company, golf clubs, violin bows, ski poles and the War years of Heddon production; Tank antennas, reconesence kites, ski poles and a lure for life-saving kits. We have a very nice research library, open to anyone who wants to come use it. We will answer questions for free, if we know the answer and do serious research for a modest fee. We show everything and anything connected with Heddon and gladly accept donations so that others may enjoy the history of this fine company.
