Tannenbaum Historic Park preserves a portion of the colonial farmstead of Joseph Hoskins. Hoskins served the 18th-century Guilford County community as a constable, tax collector and as sheriff. During the Revolutionary War Battle of Guilford Courthouse (March 15,1781), Hoskins' land was a staging area for British troops under Lord Cornwallis’ command.
Historic buildings, Explore History programs and The Colonial Heritage Center exhibits depict life before, during and after the Battle of Guilford Courthouse.
