This unique Museum is housed in an unusual 18th Century 'Butchers Shambles' and 'Brass Foundry'. Fascinating indoor and outdoor displays provide an insight into the growth and trades of Bewdley and the surrounding Wyre Forest area. Permanent displays feature pewtering, brass founding, horn-making, forest trades, wheelwrighting, town lock ups and fire fighting.

Traditional crafts are brought to life through daily demonstrations of clay pipe and rope making and through the work of resident crafts people.

A varied programme of temporary exhibitions, events, activities and workshops takes place through out the season and the details can be viewed on the museum website.

The museum offers a diverse education resource for schools with learning opportunities in a wide range of curricular studies. There is a research library open to anyone interested in finding out more about the history and families of the Wyre Forest area.
