Neuschwanstein
SUKKULENTEN-SAMMLUNG ZÜRICH

The public collection belongs to the city council of Zürich and was founded in 1931. We offer daily free admission during the opening hours. Succulent plants from all over the world can be seen. We house between 8'000 and 9'000 different succulent plant species!
The five public glass-houses are devided into different regions:
-African realm inclusive Canary Islands
-Madagascar
-Northern America to Central America
-South America with special parts Brasil and Chile
-Tall growing plants of differnt regions
Outside:
-Hardy plants of North America
-Different regions of Eurasia
-Different parts being under construction at the moment
Furthermore we are seat of the International Organisation of Succulent Plant Research (IOS), founded in Zurich in 1950. We have a specialized library and a herbarium which are open for researchers upon special request.
