The International Comparitive Literature Association (ICLA) conference will be taking place in South Africa during August 2000. The Bartolomeu Dias Museum Complex will host one of the pre-conference workshops on Travel Writings. International delegates will arrive from across the globe to participate in this conference, and at the same time, will have the opportunity of visiting this well-known Museum Complex which will act as host for the proceedings. A day outing to the Cape Point Nature Reserve at Cape Town is also being planned. But, why wait for a Conference to attend lovely Mossel Bay?! The Museum Complex is open 363 days a year and welcomes ANYONE to take a look at the early Maritime History of South Africa, Fauna and Flora of the Garden Route and Indian Ocean region AND the rich local history of this quaint seaside town.
