The steering committee have in recent weeks been revisiting the possibilities of acquiring a lease on part of the old Net-Tec building adjacent to the main car park by the harbourside. Initial surveys into the practicalities of using this premises are encouraging, we already have figures for stress loading and structural details and these are more than adequate for our purpose, we also have taken professional advice on the conversion practicalities and costing. Also we have now approached NCDC for guidance on grant funding possibilities. It will obviously take a considerable amount of effort and time to co-ordinate the necessary information, but we are determined to try to ensure the survival of our museum with its unique collection.
We would appreciate help from anybody who has the necessary skills in preparing funding bids.
