The Great Lakes Historical Museum has many friends and supporters thoughout the local community. They support the museum by donating many varied and interesting artefacts, by purchasing the local historical publications and by visiting the museum along with their friends and families. Many local groups support the museum by holding their regular meetings at the museum and taking advantage of the pleasant surroundings to enjoy morning/afternoon tea, as well as listening to the guest speaker supplied by the museum.
