Anglo Saxon life is portrayed in our popular range of hands-on activities with an introductory AV talk and lots more to see.... create your own coil pot, spin a piece of woollen yarn using a drop spindle and fleece, take part in a hands-on excavation of a replica burial urn PLUS! an opportunity to dress the Anglo Saxon way and look at: a scaled construction of a timbered and thatched Saxon house, some of the herbs used for health and cooking, horn cups similar to those used for drinking and examples of some of the natural dyes used for their garments.
