The walking tour of Jackson is a short convenient walk from the Museum. On this tour you will see churches, the home of Thomas Bragg, Jr. a lawyer of Jackson and later Governor of North Carolina, other 19th century homes with Victorian influence and the Northampton County Courthouse built in 1858. This building is one of the most distinctive county court houses in the state. It's architecture is of the Greek Revival style. Also on the Court House Square is the Clerk's Office constructed in 1831 with it's distinctive local architectural flavor.
