This unique research facility contains a variety of information sources for professionals and hobbyists. Information supports the museum’s themes of ground and air transportation, agriculture, and industry in Alberta.
The refernce centre collection includes:
·Theme-relates books published from the late 1800s through the present day
·Current magazines and newsletters
·Early automotive and agricultural newspapers and magazines
·Original sales brochures and catalogues
·Owner’s manuals and shop manual
·Specifications and serial information
·Subject files containing pamphlets, magazine articles, newspaper clippings, research reports, and other unbound materials on a variety of topics covering transportation, aviation, agriculture, and industry
·All of the above materials are available for public use in the refernce centre.
Comfortable reading and study spaces are available.
·If you have a question, we’ll try to find an answer. We will also provide assistance with more in-depth research projects. If we can’t help you. We’ll refer you to someone who can. Requests for information are accepted in person, over the telephone, and through the mail.
·A photocopying service is available for a nominal charge.
·Orientation tours to individuals and groups and research seminars to special interest groups are also available.
