The Carr Building, on the Museum's premises, is available for use by community or private groups. The 30-by-30-foot room is suitable for meetings, informal receptions, or free-standing exhibits. Tables, chairs, and dishes for 48 are available, and the complete kitchen may also be used.
Policies for use:
The Creston & District Historical Society makes the Carr Building available to community groups free of charge, but donations to the Historical Society are encouraged.
The Historical Society will provide access to the building as well as tables, chairs, and dishes for up to 48 people. The Historical Society does not provide staff. Any organisation renting the building must provide people to set up and clean up the facility.
The renting organisation must have someone visit the Historical Society prior to the event to learn the layout of the building and to identify which equipment is available for public use.
All dishes are to be washed and all tables and chairs returned to their storage locations before the renting organisation leaves the premises. The Carr Building must be left clean.
Catering services are not provided. All food required, including coffee, are to be supplied by the renting organisation.
The renting organisation is responsible for all decorations, including table cloths.
The renting organisation is responsible for all promotion of the event.
No equipment in the Carr Building is to be removed from the premises under any circumstances.
