Gardens

Surrounded by plants Oceania's inhabitants are surrounded by tropical plants in many places. On the island of New Guinea the vegetation changes from the coast up to the high mountains in the interior. As varied as the plants are, is also their exploitation. In the gardens a big variety of tubers, vegetables and fruit are growing. In the traditional conception of the world, a close relationship exists between people, plants and ancestors.
