A Male Cycladic Figurine
Cycladic Statuette of a Man, c. 2800-2300 BC.

Male figurines are very rare in Cycladic art. This is why the male statue shown here is one of our most treasured exhibits. It follows closely the folded-arms figurine type, although it clearly shows a man, not a woman. He may be an attempt to show an adorant, or a male deity.
