Although we are a small museum we welcome children and students. The social history material held in our archives gives a good cross section of life in our town as it was in 19th & 20th centuries. This material is mainly in the form of photographic images,supported by an array of interesting objects. Many students at local higher education colleges have benefited from a study of our archives. The picture at the head of this page is a demonstration of typical material accessable, form these images there is much to be learnt in respect of social life.
