Pride of the Rowing Museum - Les Regattes by Albert Adam
The nineteenth century painting was unveiled in the Rowing Museum
January 6 was a memorable day in the history of the Rowing Museum. On the Day of Three Kings here was solemnly unveiled a new valuable exhibit.
An original lithography of the painting of French artist Albert Adam (1825-1875) Les Regattes was printed in 1850 in Printing House Imp. Lemercier in Paris. Colorful chromolithography was made by lithographers Regnier, Bettannier and Morlon. This 160-year-old lithography came to the Rowing Museum from Rome (Italy).
Picture shows the rowing regatta at Asnières, Paris, and colorful crowd of spectators, formed on the river shore.
