The painting from Simon Franck dating from about 1530 once was part of an altar. On one side it showed the archbishopf of Mainz, Magdeburg and Halberstadt and prime elector cardinal Albrecht of Brandenburg, one of the most important renaissancd dukes in Germany, as St. Martin. The other side shows his mistress Ursula Redinger as St. Ursula. Simon Franck was a pupil of Lucas Cranach and his successor as official painter to Albrecht of Brandenburg. The pictures were part of the cathedral treasure of Mainz and sold in 1801. The museum in Aschaffenburg could purchase them in 1954.
