An interesting collection of Carnival Glass over time
A part of a larger collection of china and glassware history. Originally named "Pressed Iridescent", it was first produced in the USA in 1900. Many other countries from Europe and Asia, and even Australia soon followed. This continued until 1927, when there was an over-production, which resulted in it being sold below cost to Fairground owners, thus the new acquired name of "Carnival Glass".
During the period since it has been, and is now still being produced, but with a differing method.
There are clubs around the world for collectors of these items, which each has it own unique name.
