A Machinery Shed was built in the back section of the museum's grounds using railway sleeper flitchers for the walls. The Machinery Shed houses a collection of machinery associated with the timber, blacksmithing, fishing and farming industries in the Great Lakes area. A mock blacksmith's forge has been built in one corner of the Machinery Shed.
Another corner of the Machinery Shed displays various artefacts depicting the maritime history of the Great Lakes area. There are whale bones, an interesting display of Oyster farming on Wallis Lake, various implements used in the maritime industry, as well as items retrieved from Wallis Lake by the local fishermen.
