The fishing boat "Katrina B" was built by Harry Elliott and is typical of those used by the local fishermen in the 1960s. The boat was originally named "Elizabeth" but was later renamed "Katrina B" after his nieces, Katrina and Belinda. Harry's son, Terry Elliott bought the boat from his brother in 1970 and donated it to the Historical Society in October 1991.
The Historical Society members held a mock re-naming ceremony for the "Katrina B" during the museum's 21st birthday celebrations on 23 November 1996. One of Terry's nieces, Monique, performed the traditional "breaking the bottle" over the bow.
