Roman belt attachments
Loan commune Kahl and Bavarian Heritage Office

The roman belt attachments were found in a grave of a germanic warrior in Kahl near Aschaffenburg and date about 400 AD. Many germanic warriors served in the Roman army and were promoted officers. Such a war belt with decorated bronze attachments was part of an officers uniform. The man later returned to the germanic area and was buried here with parts of his old uniform.
