Roman "Viergötterstein" from Mainz Kostheim

"Viergöttersteine" are the lower part of colums, usually crowned by a statue of Jupiter. They were decorated with pictures of four gods and therefore are called "Viergöttersteine" (four gods stones). The visible face shows the goddess Minerva.
