Woman's Portrait by Vladimir Ilych Nekrasov
Woman's Portrait, 9.25" x 7.25" o/c

Vladimir Nekrasov studied at Moscow's Surikov Institute and fought on the Ukrainian front. He began exhibiting in 1953 and became a member of the Union of Artists in 1957. In 1955 he visited the Virgin Lands and painted bold oil sketches of this experience. He has produced paintings from his travels to Burma and Italy in the 1960s. In 1979, Nakrasov was rewarded with a personal exhibition. His works have been sold to museums in Moscow, Omsk, Smolensk and Alma-Ata.
