Grand Opening of Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art

The Contemporary Arts Center is celebrating the opening of its new building, the Lois & Richard Rosenthal Center for Contemporary Art, with a week-long celebration of a historic moment—the first opening of a new museum building in Cincinnati in more than 100 years.

The week begins with a grand opening preview party on Saturday, May 31, from 7 p.m. to 1 a.m. at the Rosenthal Center, which is located at 44 East Sixth Street in downtown Cincinnati. The party will take place inside the Center and outside on Walnut Street between Sixth and Seventh streets. Entertainment includes live music and performance artists. The CAC will have multiple cash bars and food will be available at the nearby Backstage restaurants. Admission to the party is free for CAC members; guests are welcome at the door for $45 per individual or $60 per couple, which also includes a one-year CAC membership.

Come back with the kids on Sunday, June 1, for family workshops, entertainment and more in the Sara M. and Patricia A. Vance Education Center: the UnMuseum®! It’s a $3 million new children’s museum in the middle of downtown Cincinnati. From June 3 to 6, enjoy special members-only hours at the Center to engage with the art and architecture in a relaxed and intimate atmosphere. June 7 and 8 feature activities, performances and events to celebrate the Public Grand Opening Weekend.
