HÄRTSFELDBAHN-MUSEUM

The museum tells the story of the ancient private narrow gauge railway of
the Haertsfeld (= Hard Field).
In the 1st story of the ancient station building you will find a lot of
memorabilia as there are pictures, models, furniture, uniforms, tickets, tools and a small model railway for the children.
A railway stock collection of over 20 original pieces is freely visible.
The old track has been rebuild on 3 kilometers, another 3 km will be opened 2020.
The museum trains are running each first sunday of may - october and for additional events, see www.hmb-ev.de.
There are three main events each year:
-> the day of open doors on Ascension
-> the Sit-in (Bahnhofshocketse) on the second weekend in august
-> the opening of otherwise not publicly accessible Dischingen Station (2nd weekend in september, with a model railway running)
We offer special programs for groups.
