CENTER FOR PUPPETRY ARTS
This unique organization has daily shows for children, educational workshops, outreach to Southeast states, distance learning and a nine room museum exhibiting over 300 puppets from around the world from the Center's permanent collection. There is also a special exhibit gallery that highlights different aspects of puppetry and related art forms which changes yearly.
Started in 1978 by Vincent Anthony the Center for Puppetry Arts and has become a highlight for Atlanta's tourist and a destination of puppeteers from around the world. In just the past 5 years the museum has has visitors from 48 different countries.
The Center is also headquarters for UNIMA-USA, a branch of Union Internationale de la Marionnette.
