TIN LIZZIE AUTO MUSEUM

As of January 1999, the ‘Tin Lizzie’ Auto Museum, (which was developed privately), became a 'not for profit' public museum. Our mandate is to preserve, collect and restore automobiles, motorcycles, and transportation memorabilia, and to offer them in a fresh and attractive setting, for public view and enjoyment. It will remain a 'showplace', where local car collectors and enthusiasts may store and show off, their 'pride and joys'.

The 'Tin Lizzie' Auto Museum Mandate

Purchase antique and classic automobiles for historical preservation, particularly those of interest to Manitobans and Canadians.
Purchase and collect auto related memorabilia for public display and enjoyment.
Catalogue and preserve historical documents related to transportation; on both regional and international levels.
Work towards the restoration of antique and classic automobiles, and all related memorabilia. We are currently searching for a separate facility to operate in conjunction with the 'Tin Lizzie' Auto Museum.
Provide an attractive indoor setting for visitors, tourists, and classic automobile enthusiasts, to view and enjoy our wide variety of antique cars, trucks and related memorabilia.
Develop school programs for social studies and history related curriculum. We seek to preserve the past, so that future generations may experience, that which is quickly becoming extinct or obsolete.
