Burg Altena, Germany

The Army Museum was established in 1961 to collect and display material, relating to the Pak Army and the Brithish Indian Army. Initially it was established in a warehouse at the same site. The building was not suitable for the proper maintenance and display of exhibits. A new building comprising 8 galleries, office, lobbies, cafeteria and washrooms were constructed in December 1993.The exhibits placed in the Army Museum consist of items donated by individuals and units of the Pak Army which depict the glorious past of the Army and its gradual evolution to a trusted and tested battleworthy force. Many of our officers and their ancestors fought in famous military operations. Their courageous actions are a source of inspiration and pride for the young generation.
