The museum is on two floors, and has lifts to all areas. Visitors who use wheelchairs are therefore able to see the whole museum. The staircases are specially enhanced to be friendly to the visually impaired and those who walk with difficulty. We have Tread Alert pads at the top and bottom of every staircase for the visually impaired. There are tactile and Braille signs. An induction loop is provided for the hearing impaired visitor at reception. Our Visitor Guide is available in a large print edition. A virtual tour enables visitors who cannot access the tiny narrowboat cabin to explore it this way.
