The buffalo hunt was the backbone of the economy of all Indian tribes around the plains. It took the neae extinction of buffalos by white hunters to collaps these cultures. We are trying to tell this story and to show how the plains have changed by being ploughed.
Our North Amereica collection is not very large, but of high quality. Some of our early objects are such rare and of such a high quality, that major US-museums would like very much to posses them. This enable us to show the development from the precolumbian times till the near to destruction of the Red Indian cultures.
