The charming Baroque palace on Meersburg Castle Square houses the Bodensee District Gallery. In the summer season the building opens its doors to exhibitions that creatively engage with the art of the Lake Constance–Upper Swabia region. The district’s high-caliber art collection, featuring masters of Classical Modernism such as Otto Dix, Erich Heckel and Max Ackermann, plays as important a role as the young talents competing for the Bodensee District’s renowned sponsorship award.
