Over 100 years of winter sports on skis and sleds at Ravensberg – from skeleton and steering sleds to bobsleighs, and from the simple Davos sled to the production of the Ski-Schäfer company – form one focus. The other offers fascinating insights into the development from a border town and carter´s settlement to a charming spa town with pristine air and villas showcasing Harz resort architecture (including Art Nouveau). We place particular emphasis on depicting traditional trades (pharmacists, coopers, plumbers, upholsterers, shoemakers, etc.).
