Description [EN]
A museum for dykes, villages and bricks!
Museum for dyke construction on the Rhine, local history and natural history on the Lower Rhine.
Exhibitions on the topics: Life on the Rhine, flood history, dyke construction, local brickworks, village life in the 19th/20th century and bird life on the Lower Rhine (with chance guests).
Unfortunately there are no inscriptions in English, but you can book guided tours in English. In the dyke-construction-exhibitions some of the labels are in Dutch and handouts in Dutch can be borrowed from the counter for this part of the exhibition.
The focal point is the village of Bislich (today a district of the Hanseatic city of Wesel) and its region.
