Description [EN]
The former patrician house Löwenberg, centrally located in the baroque old town of Gengenbach, is a meeting and gathering place: it offers highly acclaimed exhibitions of contemporary art and photography. Themes, epochs and interdisciplinary projects appeal to a broad spectrum of visitors. Closely linked to the world´s largest Advent calendar house in Gengenbach, the accompanying exhibitions take place here.
On the first floor, the “Wunderland:Löwenberg” (wonderland:Löwenberg) is a spectacularly staged island where visitors can linger, look and marvel: this includes historical marionettes from the Cohnen Collection, a hall of mirrors, a figurine organ and kinetic objects.
Our house has an elevator and is barrier-free.
