The ´Museum Arbeitswelt’ preserve, show and maintain the cultural memory of (working) people - from the beginning of the Industrial Revolution to digitalization and beyond. For over 30 years, the Museum Arbeitswelt has been the only museum in Austria with this perspective.
Housed in two former factory buildings dating back to the 19th century, our museum is not only the first museum of labour, but has also gained international recognition as an exhibition and event centre since its inception. Changing exhibitions on different topics (more at: museumarbeitswelt.at) show the house´s claim to keep up with the times.
