A Cultural Journey Through 2000 Years of Bathing History
Since 2008, the Museum of Bathing Culture in Zülpich has been showcasing the cultural history of bathing in a uniquely European exhibition. Starting with the best-preserved Roman thermal baths of its kind north of the Alps, the exhibition spans from antiquity to the present day. A vivid presentation, combined with interesting background information, invites visitors on an informative and entertaining journey through the history of bathing. The range of displayed objects includes Roman toiletries, the setup of a medieval bathhouse, curious inventions of the last century, modern beachwear, and current bath design.
Children can engage with the exhibition through a comic and the accompanying museum rally. Numerous multimedia stations invite all visitors to experience with all senses.
