Description [EN]
The city museum has been housed in the Herder House since 1884. It has extensive collections concerning the history of the former Imperial City. The focus of the exhibition is on the Imperial Court of Justice and the Swiss Confederation. Another central theme is the everyday culture in Rottweil between 1750 and 1870. Naturally, the Rottweil Carnival also has its appropriate place in the museum. A special feature is the Herrenkramer Crib, a baroque play crib that is “brought to life” during the Christmas season.
