The Black Forest Open-Air Museum VogtsbauernhofExperience the Black Forest as it was back then!At the Black Forest Open-Air Museum Vogtsbauernhof in Gutach, culture and history are brought to life. Discover how people lived and worked on Black Forest farms over the last 400 years. Visit six fully furnished single-roofed farmhouses and a day laborer's house. There are also around 15 outbuildings such as mills, sawmills, granaries, farm gardens, a herb garden and lots of old breed animals. In addition to the “Schlössle von Effringen”, which was added to the northern area in 2018, the “Ortenauhaus” and a wine tavern were reopened in the northern area in 2023.An extensive program of events with daily activities ensures an eventful visit to the museum throughout the season: mill demonstrations, many exciting event highlights from the traditional costume day to the autumn festival are on the program. Der Zugang zum Gelände des Freilichtmuseums ist ebenerdig. Viele der historischen Gebäude sind nur über Bodenschwellen und Stufen begehbar. In manchen Höfen kann der Dachboden über eine Hocheinfahrt stufenlos betreten werden.
