The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe in the center of Berlin is Germany´s central Holocaust memorial, a place of remembrance for up to six million Jewish victims of the Holocaust. The memorial, located between the Brandenburg Gate and Potsdamer Platz, consists of the field of stelae designed by Peter Eisenman and the underground Place of Information. The exhibition in the Place of Information documents the persecution and extermination of Europe´s Jews and the historical sites of the crimes.
Due to renovation work, the exhibition under the field of stelae will be closed from January 12, 2026, to April 30, 2026, inclusive.
However, the field of stelae will remain open to visitors.
