The Kunstsammlung Nordrhein-Westfalen, located in the heart of Düsseldorf, is one of Europe’s outstanding
art venues. Here, you can encounter the significant masters of classical modernism and bold contemporary voices. Its exceptional, high-caliber collections and internationally acclaimed temporary exhibitions make art a real experience for everyone. Accessible, multilingual, intergenerational, open. This diversity is also reflected in the selection of art: Important works by non-European artists are displayed alongside well-known icons of Western art.
K21 – Museum of Contemporary Art
K21 welcomes you to the former Ständehaus with its open, light-filled architecture. Here, you can experience
a diverse program of talks, performances, and concerts. Contemporary art stars such as Ai Weiwei, Katharina
Fritsch, Hito Steyerl, and William Kentridge are represented here with installations, video works, and sculptu-
res. Artistically bold, discursive, and always in tune with the times. And last but not least, with a fantastic view
over the city of Düsseldorf from the glass dome.
