Description [EN]
At the center of the museum in the RadWerk is the exhibition on the local and industrial history of Klein-Auheim. This includes the world's largest collection of bicycles and mopeds from the Bauer company, which were produced in Klein-Auheim (Municipal Schulisch Collection).
In addition to the core exhibition of around 800 m², special exhibitions and activities for all age groups are offered with changing themes.
Since 1986 the historical society has been collecting local history material, interviewing contemporary witnesses and publishing their stories in the "Contributions to Local History". The traditional Äbbelschlabbefest is part of preserving local customs. In 2025 the society received the medal for special achievements in local history research from the Main-Kinzig district and on 20 June 2026, on its 40th anniversary, the citizen's plaque of the city of Hanau.
At RadWerk, the Klein-Auheim Local History and Heritage Society, the City of Hanau's Department of Culture, the Tractor Enthusiasts, the Railway Enthusiasts, Günther's Ratladen, the Drahtesel Lounge and the Auszeit Lounge offer appealing exhibitions, events, culture, technology and gastronomy.
