The Municipal Museum of Bruchsal is located on the third floor of the Baroque Palace and documents the history of the Bruchsal area from the Stone Age to the present. The exhibition covers the city´s prehistoric and early history; a mineral collection, coins and medals from Bruchsal, and archaeological finds from the Neolithic Age to the Middle Ages. Another focus is the history of penal institutions in Bruchsal from 1848 to the first half of the 20th century.
