Description [EN]
The WASSERFORUM is located in the former pump house of Hamburg´s oldest waterworks, the Stadtwasserkunst Rothenburgsort from 1848 – the first centralized water supply in continental Europe. The exhibition on water supply and wastewater disposal can be visited as part of booked group tours and explores water-related topics in Hamburg from all aspects across three floors: the historical water supply, the extraction and treatment of groundwater, and wastewater purification. Many original exhibits, models, and plant components make a visit particularly interesting. A large number of interactive stations invite visitors to get actively involved.
