Wilhelm Ostwald Park

Description [EN]

The nature and monument-protected Wilhelm Ostwald Park is an institution of the Gerda and Klaus Tschira Foundation, dedicated to commemorating the Nobel Prize winner Wilhelm Ostwald, making his life and work accessible to the public, and promoting scientific and cultural exchange. The former residence and workplace of the chemist now combines a museum in the House of Energy, featuring the original preserved library and a unique collection of objects by and about the chemist and polymath, as well as a modern conference center with overnight accommodations. Current special exhibitions on scientific topics, guided tours of the museum and park, as well as museum and nature education programs complement the offerings.
