Description [EN]
The historical half-timbered house from 1672 already points to a long and eventful history. Since 1938, the city´s museum of Bad Wildungen has been housed here on Lindenstraße. The permanent exhibition offers a wealth of interesting topics on the city´s history: archaeological finds from the region provide important insights into early life in the Stone Age, while carefully preserved documents report on significant historical events in the city. Creative room installations allow visitors to immerse themselves in the living and cultural practices of past generations. Highlights of the city’s presentation include a fully preserved crouch burial from the Neolithic period, a 20th-century classroom, and a living and working room furnished in the style of the 1950s.
